Rising back from the dead.. =D
RAWR!!!! Decided to use back this blog.. Lazy to create a new one.. BTW.. Reached Chengdu last few days ago.. Like 2nd of September around 4.30pm.. All pictures will be uploaded to facebook.. =D
The “wah!” day – 2/9/09
Arrived their airport at 4.30pm++.. Travel to UESTC ( University of Electronic Science & Technology of China)
by minibus.. Took us around 1 hour to reach the university. Went to check out our dorm and it was new for the building is newly built and no had stayed in our rooms before.. So as expected, dust can be found everywhere.. And the dust is the gay.. Splash 2, 3 times with water and you can still see the dust dripping down.. =.=
Decided to rest awhile before eating dinner at their canteen.. The amazing thing about their canteen is that it’s not open from 7 to 6.. It’s only open on 6.30 to 9am, 11.30am to 1pm and 4pm to 6pm.. I think.. LOL.. They are also very high tech for they also use something like cashcard to buy for the food and drinks.. Even when you go to the supermart in the campus to buy things.. Ok.. Their canteen is around NP canteen 2 and 3 combined.. And their stalls are OMG.. 2 stretch of worth of food.. And their food is so freaking cheap!!! 1 mountain of rice (usually 2 liang) and 2 super large portion of veggie cost like 5 to 6 Yuan(around $1.50-$2 SGD).. Cheap cheap ah.. Had our first China food.. It’s OMG salty and spicy.. Couldn’t take it.. LOL..
Return to dorm after our dinner to setup the bed and mosquito net.. Took us quite awhile to settle down before bathing.. Talking about bathing makes me think that singapore is the best.. Why?? My dorm doesn’t have warm bathing water.. And the cold water totally owns singapore bathing cold water.. Trying pouring ice water on yourself and you will know how i feel.. That’s basically the end of the first day.. Made full use of the time using electricity even though we need to pay for it.. Sounds weird but we were told that on 6th september, the power will be cut off at 11pm.. Meaning no lights no power to charge things and whatsoever.. =/
